MORE THAN 400 TAKEN OFF NHI LIST DUE TO UNEMPLOYMENT

Labour and Immigration Minister Vincent Wheatley says more than 400 persons have been taken off the National Health Insurance list because of unemployment.
The Minister was responding to a question in the House of Assembly from the Leader of the Opposition-Marlon Penn who asked with the current rise of unemployment in the territory, how many persons have been kicked off the NHI for nonpayment and what the Ministry was doing to assist these persons, some of whom now find themselves without a job and no health Insurance.
