Written by on September 17, 2021

Following protest action by Jost Van Dyke residents on Wednesday about the deplorable condition of the Jost Van Dyke Primary School, the government is said to be moving to implement temporary measures to address the issues.

Lets Fuze VI understands that Premier and Minister of Finance Andrew Fahie, Education Minister Dr. Natalio Wheatley and technical personnel travelled to Jost Van Dyke for hands-on interventions resulting in the cancelling of protest actions which were planned by residents.

It was said that while students will remain at home for the remainder of this week, immediate and temporary solutions are to be implemented by government.

Dr Wheatley said confirmed that the problems at the school were indeed related to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and mould.

He noted that Thursday, an electrician, plumber, A/C technician, and mould specialist are all expected to visit the school.
