FORMER POLICE OFFICER INVOLVED IN BVI’S BIGGEST DRUG BUST NOW FACES RAPE CHARGE

A former Police Officer who was among persons charged in BVI’s biggest drug bust in November of last year, has found himself on the other side of the law again.

During the November drug bust, cocaine valued at $250m were discovered. Liston Davis 42, was one of the persons charged but was released on bail.

Now, Davis is facing a charge of rape.

According to the Police Arrest Blotter, Davis was granted $30,000 signed surety for his appearance at Magistrate’s Court on October 10th.

Meantime an interdicted Royal Virgin Islands Police Force Sergeant yesterday has officially been charged for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Police charges laid against Officer Richard Francis stemmed from a domestic incident reported in February of this year.

Investigations into allegations made resulted in subsequent charges. Commissioner of Police Mark Collins stated that accusations against officers by members of public will be thoroughly investigated and if there is evidence of an offence committed, officers will be suspended and possibly charged.
