EDUCATION MINISTER TO MAKE ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE RE-OPENING OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS

The Education Minister Dr. Nathalio Wheatley is expected to make an announcement tomorrow with regards to the opening of private and public primary and secondary schools.
This, as the Health Minister Carvin Malone announced during a live Covid-19 update last Friday that all pre-schools, childcare centres, summer programmes and extra-curricular activities be allowed to re- open within the limitations of the social distancing and public health protocols. Minister Malone also announced the easing of the curfew. It is now from 11pm to 5am daily for the next 14 days in the first instance, All businesses were given the green light to re-open, expect nightclubs and entertainment centres.
Minster Malone also announced the increase in the number capacity for churches, weddings and funerals.
