BVI EXPECTS CLOSE TO 200 CALLS FOR THE 2021/2022 CRUISE SEASON

Written by on October 11, 2021

BVI is in for a Bumper Tourism/Cruise Season, with officials saying that the territory would get close to 200 calls beginning on Wednesday, October 13th.

During a press conference last week, Junior Minister of Tourism Sharie De Castro said that those calls are as a result of the BVI’s participation in Seatrade Global which ended last week in Miami, Florida.

Junior Minister DeCastro said they attended Seatrade with one aim; and that is the successful resumption of Cruise Tourism in the territory; which contributes some $70 million to the economy.

According to the Junior Minister, as a delegation they wanted to ensure that every area was considered, every potential issue addressed and that they were prepared to take advantage of any opportunity presented.
