The Virgin Islands held a prayer and remembrance vigil for 19 year old Miya Marcano, Sunday night at the Benjamin Romney Park in West End.
Miya is of Virgin Islands parentage, and she was reported missing about a week ago.
She was a contestant for the Prince and Princess Pageant here in 2012 where she was the second runner up.
The Orange County, Florida, sheriff said in a news conference Saturday, that they found a body believed to Miya, just over a week after she was last seen.
And a Prayer vigil was also held in Florida last night where Premier Andrew Fahie and Works Minister Kye Rymer who were attending the Seatrade Conference in Miami, drove to the event to show their support. Premier Fahie offered comforting words to the family.
