TWO BARS CLOSED OVER THE WEEKEND FOR BREACHING COVID-19 RULES

Chief Environmental Health Officer Lionel Michael is admonishing the public that they cannot be acting normal in an abnormal situation. Michael’s comments come as the Environmental Health Division was forced to close two bars over the weekend which were in violation of the public health measures.
Michael said these are not normal circumstances and persons must start taking personal responsibility.
Michael said part of the guidelines which were put forward by the Bar Association themselves prior to re-opening in October/November last year, was a table service and lowering of the music at these establishments. The Chief Environmental Officer said these measures were adopted and agreed to by government, but there are still some of the bars not adhering to what they proposed.
