Treasures of the Caribbean

Written by on July 9, 2019

One thing is for certain, Virgin Islanders are creative, multi-talented and continue to shine no matter where in the world they are located. Daniele and Arianna Wheatley, are one of our latest examples of such. What happens when two intellectual young women sit down and discuss their future business plans together? Greatness, that’s what.

Daniele and Arianna were born and raised in the beautiful Virgin Islands but have since then moved to the United States. They are the proud owners of Posh Culture Co., a cosmetics company based in Atlanta, Georgia. They both have a love for cosmetics and while living abroad they were exposed to a wide variety of products but nothing which showcased their culture which led to the decision that it was time they gave the world a taste of the Caribbean. Known for our cultural vibes, delicious food and breathtaking views, this dynamic duo presents the ‘Color Me Caribbean’ palette, the first of their Treasures of the Caribbean Collection.

We had a little chat with Arianna, and here’s what she had to say.

What is Posh Culture?

Posh Culture is a brand that was created as an umbrella for many product offerings. The first industry that we have delved into is cosmetics with our first product being an eyeshadow palette. We chose this market because in living in America we’ve been exposed to a wide range of cosmetic products but we felt like there was a need for REPRESENTATION as it related to the culture of many “smaller” countries/regions.

What is the Treasures of the Caribbean collection? How did it come about?

The Color me Caribbean palette is under our Treasures of the Caribbean Collection which was initiated during a conversation my sister, Daniele and I were having where we came to the realization that there are so many brands on the market but there is not one brand that has recognized the Caribbean AUTHENTICALLY as well as on a large scale. In our opinion it seemed so ironic that this was the case because it is known that these islands represent vibrant colors and the current trend of makeup is all about color. As such, we began jotting down different ideas and concepts which led to the creation of the Color Me Caribbean Palette.

Tell us about the colours in the Color Me Caribbean palette, the name choices etc.

The concept of this palette was derived by my sister, Daniele Wheatley as she is the creative mind behind the brand. She came up with the concept to incorporate all of the colors of each Caribbean flag as well as to make the names of each color authentic to the culture. When you hear those names you know that it must be someone of Caribbean descent who came up with them.

How can persons purchase this set and more?

The palette can be purchased via our website www.poshcultureco.shop. We are also trying to streamline official re-sellers in the BVI.

Posh Culture officially announced the launching of the Color Me Caribbean palette last Friday and received an overwhelming amount of support and well wishes from persons in the Virgin Islands and other parts of the world. So if you’re looking for that perfect pop of color to add to your collection this summer, look no further, Posh Culture is definitely the makeup plug giving you a piece of the Caribbean wherever you go.

Congratulations to Daniele and Arianna from the Fuze Team!
