A Tourist is still missing off Cooper Island.
The Police Information Office said that Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) and Customs officers are assisting officers of the Marine Branch of Royal Virgin Islands Police Force in their search for a male snorkeler who was reported missing Monday morning while off Cooper Island.
Initial investigations indicate that the snorkeler, a Canadian visitor to the Territory, joined a charter with four other visitors, unknown to him at the time, which left Scrub Island for Cooper Island Monday morning.
All five charter guests entered the water off Cooper Island.
The missing male snorkeler did not return to the boat. Police say the search continued Tuesday morning and investigations are ongoing.
