Over the past four years the Rotary Club of Tortola has been working on how best to assist the Ivan Dawson Primary School following the devastation caused by the 2017 Hurricanes.
The Club says the initiative was to conduct a program to facilitate learning with modern technology.
It said that fundraising activities were initiated by Gail Terry, from British Columbia, Canada after seeing the devastating impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. She is an avid visitor to the Territory and is also fond of Cane Garden Bay.
Terry organized a benefit concert that was held in British Columbia, Canada with a team of business and music professionals.
And so last Thursday, the club officially handed over $30,000 worth of school supplies to the school.
Principal Tammy Henry said the devices could not have come at a better time.
