PUBLIC SERVANTS TO BE PAID 2017 INCREMENTS

Written by on September 24, 2021

A further step has been made to Public Servants getting their increments.

Cabinet at it recent meeting said that the payment of the 2018 increments for the 2017 work year is
estimated at six million dollars ($6M) of which four million dollars ($4M) is expected to be disbursed this year.

The Cabinet said this is inclusive of social contributions and the balance of about two million dollars ($2M) will be paid next year following the Department of Human Resources’ review and assessment of those officers with payroll anomalies for the 2017 work year.

Public servants were owed their increments for a number of years. Taking office in 2019, the Andrew Fahie administration paid the outstanding increments for the 2016 work year.
