Police seize 150 kilos of cocaine in Vehicle, driver on the run

A police operation seized 150 kilos of cocaine from a vehicle in the Hodges Creek Area with the driver on the run.
During an operation in the early hours of yesterday Tuesday, 19 January 2021, members of the RVIPF seized a quantity of suspected cocaine in a rental vehicle intercepted in the Hodge’s Creek area.
Police say the driver of the vehicle made his escape. A total five bales, weighing in excess of 150 kilos, was recovered in the vehicle.
A vessel connected to the drug seizure was also located in the Brandy Wine Bay area and seized by officers.
A search of another vehicle during the investigations uncovered another four kilos of cannabis. One person has been arrested on suspicion in connection with the drugs found in that vehicle.
Police say the investigation remains live and ongoing and therefore no other information can be released at this time.
