Leader of the Opposition Marlon Penn is questioning why should the government consider granting belonger status to two convicted criminals including a rapist.
During the Commission of Inquiry hearing when the Minister of Labour and Immigration -Vincent Wheatley was questioned, it was revealed that government was considering an application as part of the fast track regularization process for a rapist who was serving a 10-year sentence in a US jail.
Speaking on NDP Radio, Penn said government is tone deaf on this issue.
