Written by on August 19, 2020

Paving works have commenced in the Paraquita Bay area.

People on the eastern end of the island are getting some ease with the condition of the roads.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution when approaching Fat Hog’s Bay as Government works to resurface the road in the area.

District Representative Dr. Nathalio Wheatley said he is grateful to government, especially Works Minister Kye Rymer, who is an action man.

He also extended thanks to the team at the Public Works Department, led by Director Jeremy Hodge, for working diligently to make a difference for pedestrians and motorists.

Dr. Wheatley said that the team is patching existing potholes and resurfacing the roadway.

He said that the Government is looking out for the people of the East End-Long Look community, and the wider public that use the road and as promised to the Long Look/East End community, the Government will work tirelessly to have smooth roads throughout the Territory.

The Minister also said they are gaining momentum and turning a new page. Soon the East End-Long Look Sewerage Project will be here, and they want their people to be ready for what is to come.
