JUNIOR TRADE MINISTER SAYS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS LEAVING THE TERRITORY BECAUSE OF THE ABSENCE OF A GAMING AND BETTING CONTROL COMMISSION

At large member and Junior Trade Minister Shereen Flax Charles has given her full support as Government moved forward with the Gaming and Betting Amendment Bill in the House of Assembly.
In her contribution to the debate, Flax Charles they are benefits to be derived from this bill, and they must continue to move forward, noting that there is too much of the crab in a barrel mentality.
Flax Charles said they should not sit back and allow the territory to remain stagnant, and they must look at ways of building and sustaining themselves.
Flax Charles said they are millions of dollars leaving the territory everyday from the illegal gambling activities.
