Written by on August 5, 2021

The BVI’s athletes created history at the Olympics.

It was the first time BVI was represented by three athletes and more so, the first time two BVI Athletes made it to the finals. Earlier Elinah Phillip placed second in her semifinal heat in the 50m freestyle swimming, and Kyron McMaster placed 4 th in the 400m hurdles and Chantel Malone ranked 12th in the world in the long jump. McMaster set a national record while placing 4th , and speaking with international commentators he was amazed at his performance to have represented the territory so well.

A BVI Love Grand Motorcade was held on Tuesday, August 3 rd to celebrate the territories athletes.
