AN OPPOSITION MEMBER CALLS FOR APOLOGY FROM FORMER GOVERNOR JASEPRT ABOUT HIGH LEVEL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS LINKED TO CRIMINAL ACTIVITY

Fourth District representative Mark Vanterpool has taken issue with statements made by former Governor Augustus Jaspert, that high officials in government are allegedly linked to drugs and criminal activity and he has called on him to apologise and retract such statements.
The statement from the former Governor without any evidence was made as he was questioned in the Commission of Inquiry.
Speaking in the House of Assembly Vanterpool said he considers himself a high government official and his conscience is clear as he is not involved in drugs and with drug dealers.
Vanterpool said he worked hard from a young age for what he has today and for the former Governor to accuse him of allegedly involved in criminal activity is not right.
