The Recovery and Development Agency, RDA says 14 companies submitted Expressions of Interest (EOI) indicating their qualifications and experience to participate in the tender process to construct new classrooms at the Elmore Stoutt High School.
The RDA said the companies will now be shortlisted and the top seven will be asked to submit tenders for the construction of the classrooms.
It said this is the RDA’s commitment to support the Government and the Ministry of Education in creating the much-needed space to accommodate their students by April 2022.
During a recent address on the re-opening of school, Education Minister Dr. Natalio Wheatley said that the Premier and Minister of Finance has agreed to finance the construction of additional school buildings on the Elmore Stoutt High School Campus to accommodate their senior school students presently housed at Pasea Estate, and their growing population of Junior School students.
He said the RDA is managing this project, and it is expected to be completed early next year.
